Testimonials - From the children

“I like Stray Cats because it is fun. I like the parties and activities and I have got lots of friends there. There is always something to do and the staff are nice!” Alice age 6

"Stray cats is a brilliant place that has activities for everyone whether your the sit-down arty crafty type or the go outdoors and kick a ball type. The reason that I choose to go is that they have lots of competitions to enter for example the yearly calender, to do this one you have to draw something for a month of the year and the favourite gets put on the calender, and if you want to play there is always the bingo that brings everybody together." Alex

"Straycats is really good fun.  When I am there I like to play table tennis and snooker with my friends. Or we can go outdoors and race on the obstacle course.  You can choose what you do on the day." Aaron

 Testimonials - From parents/carers

“I am a regular user of the Stray Cats Holiday Club and have been for some time now. The club was recommended to me by a colleague when I was looking for a summer club a few years ago, which happens to be conveniently located close to my work place.  My children who were coming up to 5 and 7 at the time, were a bit dubious and nervous at first as the age range was for all school age children (5-16) and were a bit wary of the ‘bigger kids’ but by the end of their first day they were looking forward to going back.

I initially felt bad that unlike their other school friends, who got to spend the summer etc at home and play, I was sending my children to what they would deem as another school. However, it was totally not like that at all, the environment was very much like being at home with all the usual kinds of activities/toys and games available and even occasional trips out, and the staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, enough to put any nervous child at ease. The booking procedure is very straight forward and I also found the club to be a lifesaver during the recent day of union strikes, as being a parent struggling with no annual leave days left, I was delighted when they opened and I was fortunately able to send my children for the day.

We are so happy with the overall experience and environment of the club that my children look forward to going every school holiday, and will certainly continue to do so for the foreseeable future, and we only hope that the lovely staff remain there as long as we will”.
