I am really glad I chose Abacus nursery, from day one Noah has been really well looked after with kindness and compassion and has always felt comfortable and safe.

As Noah was my first child, I had not experienced this chapter before and sending him to nursery was initially scary for me as well as him, but my mind was instantly put at rest when I saw how caring all the ladies were and how welcoming the were, particularly his key workers in each group.

I was really impressed with the level of security and safety, the cleanliness and general feel of the nursery.

I have recommended the nursery to others and my daughter will be attending in 2026.

You are all amazing. I can't thank you enough for the time and effort you spend putting into the children to ensure they learn and develop. ❤️

Dear Sam, Sarah and the Abacus Team

I just wanted to write this to express our gratitude for all that you have done in the 3 years that Oliver has been coming to Abacus Nursery.

You have helped so much in his development and getting him ready for his next venture at “big boy school” as he likes to call it.

Sadly I couldn’t see you all to say goodbye and thank you in person as I was working a long day (probably a good thing as you would have probably had a blubbering mummy mess in the reception area)!

Oliver comes home from nursery excited to tell us what he has been up to, who he has played with and the teachers who have been working that day.

He has adored everyone (especially Alice who he informed me that he was going to Marry) ❤️.

Our recent awards

We were awarded with a Recognition Award by the Mayor of Wakefield for all our hard work during this difficult period. We have remained open throughout, providing a service to key worker children, particularly those who work for the Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. Providing care and support to children and their parents.

We were recently awarded the MY Star Commended award from The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust.
